Within the first two months of taking the VIBE Challenge, I lost 18 lbs and I soon lost a total of 40 lbs. I was thrilled with those results and especially that my repetitive pattern of self-sabotage, yo-yo dieting was finally gone. I kept the weight off for a year!
Then, I decided to get refocused and lose the last 20 pounds. Excited that I kept the weight off, I was puzzled as to why I had not lost the last 20 pounds. I took a good look and realized that I had taken my eyes off my goal. Instead of visualizing my new lean, thin and beautiful self, I was saying out loud things like, “It’s too cold to go walking,” and, “The last 20 pounds are the hardest to lose.” So I stopped walking. Thanks to VIBE, I still made good food choices, but the reality was that I had to burn more calories than I was consuming. It was time to change my story.
I began telling myself, “I lost 40 pounds, so losing 20 more will be a piece of cake” and, “I’m going to be in the best shape of my life when I turn 45 in May 2016.” Thanks to the 10 easy steps of the VIBE 30 Day Challenge, I lost 8 more pounds and today, I celebrate hitting a total weight loss of 50 pounds!
From size 18 wide to size 12, I’m confident that I will hit my goal of 135 pounds and size 8 by my 45th Birthday!
